Meet Clint

I grew up in Canada and spent over a decade working in global finance, living in New York, London, and Hong Kong before settling in Northern Thailand. My journey from trading floors to teaching gives me a unique perspective on what actually matters in professional communication.

I started my career at HSBC's Global Markets division, working with clients and teams across three continents. Later, I ran my own volatility fund (North Cove Volatility Management) and continue to trade markets while teaching. This real-world business experience means I understand the pressure of high-stakes presentations, the challenge of explaining complex ideas to non-technical audiences, and the importance of clear, confident communication in professional settings.

I earned my B.S. in Engineering and Economics from Columbia University and later completed my CELTA with a Pass A from Cambridge English. I also spent time as a Senior Teacher at Wall Street English in Shanghai, where I developed my approach to teaching business English.
